Shattered Jitters

I was about to greet someone, a happy birthday through personal message, but what suprised me was our long gone conversation..

A conversation which ended by a single ‘like’ reaction due to disappointment.

I was supposed to join her group of friends for a catch up since the end of the year 2020 was coming.

Jitters ran in my nerves, excited to meet them after a long time because of the pandemic.

I said yes, without hesitation, open for their own set of time and place of convenience.

Nervous. Excited. Surreal.

But a wet blanket went on my face when I received her message.

It was cancelled. Nothing more.

I can’t deny my huge disappointment in myself for hoping. Because I know I’ve felt it will be cancelled.

And I was completely, RIGHT.

And we never talked right after that.

It was truly saddening, but what else can I do? I can’t blame them.

All I have is to blame myself.

But still, I took it as an experience.

First, don’t put yourself too much from an invition.

And don’t invite someone when you’re not 200% sure.

That would be all šŸ˜…šŸ˜
